Multinational Exercise “ORION-25” Concludes in Greece
The ORION exercise has been conducted annually since 2018. Since 2021, it has attracted Special Operations units from friendly and allied nations. This year, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Switzerland, the United States, Italy, Croatia, the Greek Administration of Southern Cyprus, and Romania participated in ORION-25 with both personnel and equipment. The Greek-led Special Operations Forces exercise “Orion 25” also involves the Greek Administration of Southern Cyprus. Since Greek Cyprus is not a NATO member, the Alliance cannot officially or unofficially support, assist, or participate in the exercise, and Türkiye blocks any NATO activity that includes it.
