Under the A400M Retrofit Project, the expert teams of the 2nd Air Maintenance Factory Directorate, operating under ASFAT (Military Factory and Shipyard Management), started the retrofit process of the 5th Turkish Air Force A400M aircraft on June 12, 2023.

A400M retrofit activities are being carried out at the 2nd Air Maintenance Factory Directorate/KAYSERİ, a first outside of Spain. It is planned to conduct retrofit processes for four more A400M transport aircraft at this facility in the upcoming period.
