Teknopark İstanbul and Gebze Technical University (GTU) joined forces on University-Industry and Technology Transfer issues through a Cooperation Agreement. Teknopark İstanbul General Manager M. Bilal Macit and GTU Rector Prof. Haluk Görgün signed the cooperation protocol on 2 August 2017.
Within the scope of the protocol, mutual activities will be conducted on different topics, mainly the project activities based on University-Industry cooperation, intellectual property rights, company/project matching, innovation and entrepreneurship evaluations. The protocol will cover the increased business cooperation and information sharing among the parties, sharing of the pool of experts, and mutual support of the parties in meeting the demands from their regions if needed. In addition, the GTU students will be able to benefit from the protocol that aims to increase the mutual benefit of the University-Industry cooperation and technology transfer activities. Within the scope of the Program, it is aimed that Teknopark İstanbul gives priority to GTU students in TeknoStaj (internship) programs.
