An agreement on the cooperation for “Design and Prototype Manufacturing of Detectors, reader electronics and ASIC structures to be used in new generation laser searchers” was signed between TÜBİTAK Bilgem and Roketsan on the very first day of IDEF. Within the framework of the agreement signed by Roketsan’s General Manager Mr.Selçuk Yaşar and TÜBİTAK Bilgem’s President Mr.Hasan Palaz, Roketsan and TÜBİTAK Bilgem will develop new generation laser guidance to replace the existing laser guidance with low technology. This new product known as Gökkuşağı (Rainbow) shall replace the current systems of Cirit and LUMTAS that are manufactured by Roketsan. It would also be used in the laser guided kits of MK-81, 82 and 84 type bombs.
