Diving Support Vessel is on its way to Qatar



47 meter Diving Support Vessel for Qatar Naval Forces is designed and will be built as Dynamic Positioning II (DP II) compatible, with excellent maneuverability, spacious engine room layout, and provided with azimuth stern drive thrusters (ASD), bow thrusters and station control in wheelhouse.





The vessel will be ocean going and capable of working in coastal areas - sheltered and unsheltered, etc. with adequate stability for its intended duties as well as suitable to be used for the following:





1. Diving operations including training

2. Search and rescue operations on surface

3. Search and rescue operations at sea bed in deep and shallow water

4. Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) support operations

5. Under water welding processes and operations

6. Special operation support to other forces tasks

7. Fire-fighting assets



STM was at DIMDEX with all of its capabilities


Having profound experience in system engineering, technical support, project management, technology transfer, logistics support services, software technologies for civil and military systems and in software development, STM, at DIMDEX 2012 Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference, exhibited the C-1600 (Qatar) Corvette Project, which was offered by STM, ASELSAN and HAVELSAN; LF-2400 Light Frigate; C-1200 Corvette; AY Class Submarine Outfitting/System Modernization Project; and its facilities and capabilities on naval projects. During the exhibition, STM made several negotiations and discussions with the delegations of Qatar Naval Forces, Thailand Minister of Defence, delegations from Pakistan, Malaysia and gulf countries
