Making an announcement on his social media accounts on May 30, President of Defense Industries İsmail Demir shared information about the latest developments within the scope of the project. "Within the scope of the Armored Combat Vehicle Modernization Project, which we initiated for the Land Forces Command, driving & firing tests were successfully carried out with the pre-prototype vehicle, which was produced in cooperation with ASELSAN and FNSS. Within the scope of the project, 133 ACVs will be equipped with indigenous modern weapon systems and high-tech mission equipment, significantly increasing their survivability and service life."
Armored Combat Vehicle (ACV) Modernization Project
At first, 133 ACVs will be upgraded under the project by the main contractor ASELSAN. 25 mm NEFER Remote Controlled Weapon System, Laser Warning Receiver, YAMGOZ Close Range Surveillance System, Driver's Vision System (ADIS), Direction Finding and Navigation System, Commander-Gunner-Personnel, and Driver Display Panels will be integrated into the ACVs.
The subcontractor FNSS will carry out maintenance and repair activities. HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air conditioning), Fire Extinguishing, and Explosion Suppression System subsystems will be integrated into the ACV platforms. In addition to the modern weapon systems and high-tech mission equipment, the ACV's armor and mine protection levels will also be upgraded, significantly increasing their survivability and combat capabilities platforms on the battlefield.
