Low-Altitude Air Defence Missile System (HİSAR-A) Project, The First Test Shot

The Turkish armed forces (TSK) in order to meet the national need for low altitude air defence possibility, the Undersecretariat for defence industries by low-altitude air defence, launched June 20, 2011 at the missile system (HİSAR-A) project, the first domestically developed and produced on the day of the trial, the missiles on October 6, 2013, Salt Lake was carried out successfully, in Shot.

Designed by Turkish engineers, vertical launch capability provides protection against all weather elements, thanks to the low-altitude air defence missile system, is scheduled to enter service in 2017, TAF.

HİSAR systems that could be effective against the aircrafts, helicopters, cruise missiles, unmanned aerial vehicles and air to ground missiles within their range and altitude shall be equipped with an air defence system that could accomplish target detection, tracking and missile firing functions in a fully autonomous manner. Missile Firing Systems with their Fire Control and Command Control functions made by Fire Control Equipment shall also be utilized in the low and middle altitude air defence of the permanent facilities such as bases, harbors and logistical centers.
