President of Azerbaijan İlham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Turkey  Abdullah Gül visited the facilities of Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) on November 12, 2013.

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yıldız, Minister of National Defence İsmet Yılmaz and Undersecretary for Defence Industries Murad Bayar accompanied the delegation.

During the visit, Presidents of the two countries watched the flight demonstrations of Turkish Basic Trainer Aircraft “Hürkuş” and Atak/T129 Attack and Tactical Reconnaissance Helicopter, which were designed and manufactured by TAI, from the flight tower at TAI’s facilities.

Following the flights, TAI’s President & CEO Muharrem Dörtkaşlı gave information to President Aliyev and President Gül about the ongoing programs of TAI. Aliyev expressed his pleasure for being at TAI’s facilities and having been informed about the ongoing programs.

After the briefing, Aliyev and Gül examined Hürkuş, Atak/T129 Helicopter and Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) UAV Anka on site.
