After being informed about the current projects of TEI, the delegation led by Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir visited the engine test cells and examined the engine tests on site. The tests of the TEI-TS1400 engine, which will power the Gökbey Multirole Utility Helicopter, were carried out at the "National Turboshaft Engine Test Cell," which was designed and developed entirely by the TEI engineers and technicians. The TS3 engine, the first prototype of the TEI-TS1400 engine, was delivered to TUSAŞ at the ceremony held with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on December 5, 2020. Within the scope of the Turboshaft Engine Development Project, which was officially initiated on March 8, 2017, with the support of the Presidency of Defense Industries to develop Turkey's first national Turboshaft Engine TEI-TS1400, the core engine tests were completed, and the first ignition was successfully accomplished on September 22, 2020. Following the delivery of the TS3 engine, the production and assembly of the TS4 engine, the twin of this engine, was successfully completed, and the planned test of the TS4 engine was later successfully carried out with the participation of İsmail Demir.

Afterward, the delegation participated in the test of Turkey's First Mid-Range Anti-Ship Missile Engine TEI-TJ300 turbojet Engine, developed domestically and nationally by TEI. This test was also carried out at the National Turbojet Engine Test Unit.

İsmail Demir, who examined TEI's studies on piston engines at the "Piston Engines Test Site," participated in the pre-prototype test of the TEI-PD180ST engine. The ground test of the TEI-PD180ST engine, which is a lighter variation of the TEI-PD170 engine with a single turbo, was also successfully performed on the dynamometer test-stand.

Following the completion of tests, President of Defense Industries Prof. Dr. İsmail Demir left the campus after taking a souvenir photograph in front of the serial production TEI-PD170 engines to be delivered to TUSAŞ.
