ÇAFRAD-Phase-1 Project

Signing of the Multipurpose Phased Arrays Radar (ÇAFRAD) System that shall be developed indigenously through national resources and capacities to be used in the TF2000 Aerial Defence Combat Frigate (which will be manufactured to cover the demand of the Naval Forces Command) was accomplished at IDEF.  With the signing taking place on the second day of IDEF, in line with the decision of the Defence Industry Executive Committee (SSİK), the project is planned to be executed by Aselsan with the participation of TÜBİTAK and other national institutions and establishments. Three main radars shall exist in the project which is developed for early warning.
