Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. (TAI) was established in 1984, is Turkey’s center of technology in design, development, modernization, manufacture, integration and life cycle support of integrated aerospace systems, from fixed and rotary wing air platforms to unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems and space systems. TAI also ranks among the top hundred global players in aerospace and defense arena.
The widespread product and activity range grant TAI a unique and unmatched position globally. Indigenously developed “ANKA” MALE Class UAV, “HÜRKUŞ” Primary and Basic Trainer Aircraft, “TURNA” Indigenous Target Drone System and Advanced Avionics Modernization Suites for Fixed Wing and Rotary Wing Platforms (F-16, C-130, T-38, S-70, etc.); jointly developed T129 Attack and Tactical Reconnaissance Helicopter, A400M Military Transport Aircraft; E/O Surveillance and Reconnaissance Satellites; Special Mission Aircraft Conversions and System Integrations (AEW&C, MPA, MSA); and Design-to-Build or Build-to-Print aerostructures for military and commercial airborne platforms (F-35, A350 XWB, B787, etc.) are among the major products and activities under TAI’s umbrella. A Flight Academy was also established at TAI to provide rotary wing classroom and flight training as well as associated certification.
