The fourth Search and Rescue vessel - "TCSG 704 Yaşam", which was constructed for the Turkish Coast Guard Command by RMK Marine of Koç Holding, was launched by a ceremony. The ceremony was held with the participation of Undersecretary for Defence Industries Murad BAYAR, Coast Guard Commander Rear Admiral Hasan UŞAKLIOĞLU and President of Koç Holding Defence Industry, Other Automotive and Information Technology Group Kudret ÖNEN.

In his speech at the ceremony held in RMK Marine Shipyard - Tuzla, the Undersecretary for Defence Industries Murad BAYAR stated that the production of naval vessels having indigenous technology platforms, systems and weapons to improve mobility of Naval Forces and Coast Guard Command in Turkish shipyards has been amongst their primary objectives. "In line with this objective, we have been conducting several projects in Tuzla region and the total volume of these projects, as of today, is 2 billion US$. We have also achieved more than 60% local contribution in these projects." added BAYAR.
