Defence Industry Executive Committee (DIEC) gathered under Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s chairmanship. Chief of the General Staff General Necdet Özel and Minister of National Defence İsmet Yılmaz and other defence officials participated the meeting lasted for 3 hours on 26 September. Main agenda of the meeting was the Long Range Air and Missile Defence Systems Project (T-LORAMIDS). Turkey selected China's Air Defence Systems (HQ-9) in this tender. In the last period of the project,China's systems became the strongest candidate which offered co-development,technology transfer and Lowest bidding in the tender.DIEC also announced that Turkish Basic and Primary Training Aircraft project, TAI will commence to serial production of Hürkuş in the next period. Within the project total 15 aircraft will be manufactured by TAI.in addititon to these decions, MILGEM-S project was cancelled by DIEC, RMK Marine was awarded in this tender at the beginning of 2013. In the next period Manufacturer of the Third and the Forth Vessels will be conducted by Turkish Navy Shipyards. for the rest of vessels new tender is  expected to be commenced in a couple of years.
