As part of the project initiated by the Secretariat of Defence Industries (SSB) and carried out by TEI, Türkiye’s first military turbofan engine, TF6000, was successfully test-fired. The TF6000 engine, which will power the KIZILELMA and ANKA-3 Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicles, was designed to develop technologies and demonstrate capabilities for the domestic engine planned to be used in the future by the National Fighter Aircraft KAAN.
Alongside the TF6000/TF10000 engine projects, Türkiye will also achieve the critical technologies and experienced workforce by carrying out the design, development, and manufacturing stages of relevant accessory subsystems, fan module, variable stator vane, compressor, exhaust mixer, and afterburner.
