On April 30, 2021, the Ministry of National Defense announced that 9 KAPLAN Anti-Tank Vehicles produced by FNSS were delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF). Within the scope of the Anti-Tank Vehicle/Silah Taşıyıcı Araç (ATV/STA) project, which aims to increase the operational efficiency of the Anti-tank units of the Land Forces Command, 113 vehicles, 94 of which were KAPLAN, have been delivered so far. Lastly, following the completion of the inspection and acceptance activities that started on April 5, 2021, 9 more vehicles were added to the TAF inventory. Under the project, Turkish Land Forces will procure 208 tracked KAPLAN vehicles, and 136 wheeled PARS anti-tank vehicles that can be armed with Kornet or OMTAS anti-tank guided missiles. Seven vehicles were delivered to the 5th Armored Brigade in Gaziantep, and two vehicles to the 2nd Armored Brigade in Kahramanmaraş.
