The Bayraktar TB3 reached an altitude of 33,000 feet with its indigenous engine, setting a record. The test was conducted at the AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ. During the flight, the Bayraktar TB3 UAV successfully completed the High-Altitude System Performance Test by ascending to an altitude of 33,000 feet. Taking off with the PD-170 engine developed domestically by TEI, the national UAV reached the highest altitude ever attained with a domestic engine during the high-altitude flight test.

The altitude record set by the Bayraktar TB3 UAV with its indigenous engine is a monumental achievement in the history of Turkish aviation. This record, previously held by the Bayraktar AKINCI UAV, stands at an impressive 45,118 feet. The Bayraktar TB3 UAV has also demonstrated its endurance, remaining airborne for a staggering 327 hours and 35 minutes in test flights. During the long-duration flight test on December 20, 2023, the TB3 remained airborne for 32 hours without landing, covering a distance of 5,700 km in the sky.
