September 7, 2020, The Turkey Cyber Security Cluster has launched the Cyber Security Career Certificate Program for graduates wishing to pursue a career in the field of cyber security. President of Defense Industries Prof.İsmail DEMİR: "The Cyber Security Career Certificate Program will make a significant contribution to the training of new experts and to providing the qualified human resources required by the sector."
Graduates who want to pursue a career in Cyber Security will participate in the program for 3 weeks and the training on Introduction to Information Security, Linux Operating System Fundamentals, Network Security Basics, Web Application Security, Cyber Threat Intelligence, Malware Analysis, Applied Penetration Testing, Machine Hacking, Threat Hunting and Computer Forensics, provided by expert instructors in their fields.
In addition to the training, the technical competencies of the graduates will be measured with CTFs and various competitions to be organized throughout the program. During the 3-week program, graduates also receive mentorship from experts and will have the opportunity to find job and internship opportunities in cluster member companies at the end of the program.
Supported by the Presidency of Defense Industries, Presidency of the Republic of Turkey Digital Transformation Office, Defense Industry Academy, CyberThink Think Tank, Cyber Clubs Association and Vizyoner Genç, the program will be held online on October 5-24, 2020.
President of Defense Industries Prof. İsmail DEMİR made the following statement on the subject: “As the Presidency of Defense Industries, we aim to have an ecosystem in our country that is able to produce cyber security solutions against possible attacks. The Turkey Cyber Security Cluster that we established to this end undertakes important projects with its 170 members. The Turkey Cyber Security Cluster has trained nearly 4,000 graduates/students so far with over 150 training programs. Our Cluster, also continuing training activities during the pandemic, held 30 online training events between April and August. The Cyber Security Career Certificate Program will also make an important contribution to the training of new experts of “Siber Vatan” and to providing the qualified human resources required by the sector. We invite our graduates who wish to pursue a career in this field to this program.”
