Cyberculture is growing faster than cybersecurity, and this is placing everything that depends on cyberspace at risk. Private data, intellectual property, IT infrastructure, and even military and national security – it can all be compromised by deliberate attacks, inadvertent security lapses, and the inherent vulnerability of the Internet.
The fact is, cyberculture is growing rapidly, and it has taken on a life of its own that won’t stop. The Internet has made access to information ubiquitous. Almost all business and government activities now rely on digital connectivity. And even traditional aspects of everyday life – such as appliances and cars – may soon come with their own IP addresses.
