MTU started to produce MILGEM engines in Turkey

MTU and the Turkish defence forces have built up a close partnership over decades both in the area of land vehicles and in the naval sphere. “As MTU, we are proud of creating value by offering our business partners reliable customized solutions. Besides the Series 4000 cylinder sleeve production in our Hadımköy facilities since 2009, we have started production of Series 595 Engines in 2012 which are also used at Turkish National Corvette “MİLGEM”. This production is an important proof for the technology level that MTU Turkey reached,” says Ekrem Kuraloglu, Managing Director of MTU Turkey. MTU is part of Rolls-Royce Power Systems within the Land & Sea division of Rolls-Royce.
