“Navantia is Open to Collaborate with the Turkish Navy in the TF-2000 Destroyer Program in Everything that the Turkish Navy May Need!”

On August 9, 2023, Navantia hosted the keel-laying ceremony for the F111 Frigate, the first of 5 F110 Class Frigates for the Spanish Navy at its Ferrol Shipyard. The F111 Frigate is expected to be launched in 2025 and delivered to the Spanish Navy in 2028. The remaining ships will be delivered at 12-month intervals until 2032, the date that the Spanish Navy will receive the fifth unit. The F110 Class Frigates will be smart ships, the first Spanish naval program designed to have a Digital Twin. Defence Turkey Magazine approached Eduardo DOBARRO, NAVANTIA’s Director of the Frigates and Intervention Ships Division to get first-hand information on the current status of Spanish Navy’s F110 Frigate Program, Navantia’s Digital Transformation Plan and their approach to Turkish Navy’s TF-2000 Air Defense Warfare Destroyer Program.
