Patria and Latvian Ministry of Defence have agreed on the manufacturing and delivery of 56 additional armored Patria 6x6 vehicles, on top of the already ongoing deliveries as part of joint Common Armored Vehicle System (CAVS) program. These vehicles will serve as command and control (C2) units. Production of the vehicles will utilize local industry capabilities in Latvia, including Patria’s armored vehicle production facility in Valmiera, opened in May 2024. The deliveries will begin during this year and last until 2029. The value of the agreement is above 60 million Euros.
“The new Patria 6x6 armored command and control vehicles will significantly improve the operational capabilities of our armed forces, as well as contribute to the development of the Latvian military industry, continuing the successful cooperation between the defence sector and industry", emphasizes Andris Sprūds, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Latvia.
