The SAHIL-NET Project Contract was signed between the Presidency of Defense Industries and HAVELSAN for the needs of the Coast Guard Command. The signing ceremony held during 15th International Defense Industry Fair was attended by the President of Defense Industries Prof. İsmail DEMİR, Commander of the Coast Guard Rear Admiral Ahmet KENDİR and HAVELSAN General Manager Mehmet Akif NACAR. Speaking at the ceremony, DEMİR stated that the use of domestic and national products is very critical for the national security in order to provide secure network structures, especially in strategically important places.

Within the scope of the contract, the Sahil-NET corporate network will be established between the Coast Guard Headquarters and the Regional and Group Commands. With this network, both intranet infrastructure will be established and a connection with external institutions will be provided. Additionally, as part of the Project, special emphasis was given to the use of domestic devices, systems and software within the framework of "maximum indigenization and industrialization", which is the fundamental approach of the Presidency of Defense Industries. With the support of the HAVELSAN KOVAN product family, the National Enterprise Resource Management System developed by HAVELSAN, the objective is to realize end-to-end processes of the Coast Guard Command such as Human Resources, Finance and Logistics in a reliable, easy and traceable manner.
