TUSAŞ Engine Industries Inc. (TEI) established in Eskisehir, has been selected as "Outstanding Power PlantSoR" for the year 2011 by NATO Support Agency (NSPA), meeting logistical needs of NATO member countries’armed forces and International Aerospace Management Company (IAMCO) in TF33 engine depot level maintenance project for NATO Awacs aircrafts, as a result of the evaluation made considering the turn around time, quality, contract management and responsiveness criteria. TEI, having won the same award twice in 2004and 2008, has been found worthy of the mentioned award for the third time in eight years by NATO, due to thesuccessful studies it has carried out in 2011 within the context of TF33 Depot Level Maintenance.

TEI General Manager Akın DUMAN declared in his statement: "Within the context of the project, following the delivery of the first engine in the year 2001, TEI has successfully carried out depot level maintenances for 79 ea engines in total, consisting of 12.000 hours, 18.000 hours andconditional depot level maintenances, have been performed up to now. TF33 Engine Depot Level Maintenance Project for Airborne Early Warning and Control NATO AWACS E-3A aircrafts used for surveillance, command, control and communication missions in all air conditions by NATO air defense forces, is an important example for revealing the current potential in our country in aircraft engines area. Successes attained in this project, is an important step and deserved source of pride for the capabilities and resources in Turkey to be placed as deserved in international area. This award we have won, has provided us with extra power through our way to become a maintenance and repair center in international area, within the period we are carrying on our studies with our vision to become a global, high quality and competitive aircraft engine main producer.
