Public Sector-Information Technology Security Conference was held in Feza Gürsey Conference Room on June, 6, 2008, National Electronic and Cryptology Research Institute (UEKAE) being the host.
It has been targeted to contribute to the information technology security of public sector with the event held for the third time.
Siber wars and Computer Emergency Response Team’s (TR-CERT), practicing under TUBITAK UEKAE Network Security Department, services in the field since 1999 were presented at the conference in addition to attacks to smart cards, the ways to protect form them and the threats that wireless network using computers face. “Evil Twin” attack technique was also simulated.
In this event, the security problems of web-based e-transformation practices and the importance of scenario matching in information systems were analyzed in addition to the presentation of the studies performed within the scope of National Information Security Program taking part as Article 88 of Information Society Strategy.
