Türkiye`s largest warship, the TCG Anadolu Multi-Purpose Amphibious Assault Ship was delivered to the Turkish Naval Forces Command with a ceremony held in Istanbul with the participation of President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN, Minister of National Defense Hulusi AKAR, Chief of General Staff General Yaşar GÜLER, Commander of the Turkish Army General Musa AVSEVER, Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces Admiral Ercüment TATLIOĞLU, Commander of the Turkish Air Force General Atilla GÜLAN, Deputy Minister of National Defense Muhsin DERE, and President of the Defense Industry Agency İsmail DEMİR. The first steel cutting of 3 new İSTİF Class Frigates to be built under the MİLGEM project also took place.

Speaking at the delivery ceremony, President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN said "We see this ship as a symbol that will reinforce our position as an assertive country in the world and a leader in our region in the Century of Türkiye. Today we are also cutting the steel of three new frigates of the MİLGEM İSTİF-Class that we will set sail for the Blue Homeland. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the construction of TCG Anadolu and everyone who will take part in the construction of our frigates," President ERDOĞAN said.
