The 300th Vehicle Delivery Ceremony for the STA Project, executed by the Defense Industry Agency (SSB), was held at FNSS's Gölbaşı facility, with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of National Defense, the Turkish Armed Forces, and the defense industry.

During the program, attended by Defense Industry Agency President Prof. Haluk GÖRGÜN, Program Manager Kerem KAPLAN delivered a presentation on PARS 4x4 and KAPLAN Weapon Carrier Vehicles, as well as Remote Controlled Anti-Tank Turrets, which were indigenously designed and produced by FNSS as part of the STA Project.

SSB President Prof. Haluk GÖRGÜN, commenting on the STA Project deliveries, stated, “We are managing the supply activities for a total of 344 weapon carrier vehicles (STA) in three different configurations within the scope of our Weapon Carrier Vehicles Project, which we started in 2016 in order to ensure the use of the Kornet-E weapons in the inventory of our Land Forces Command and the OMTAS we supplied under our Medium Range Anti-Tank Weapon Project on vehicles. In the first phase of the project, we successfully delivered 260 vehicles to the respective units by February 2022. Upon today's delivery of the 300th vehicle, our goal is to finalize delivering the remaining vehicles by October 2024 at the latest. Aligned with our objectives, we're committed to advancing beyond traditional combat vehicles, focusing on innovating new-generation, technologically advanced vehicles capable of meeting diverse needs in the upcoming period under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN.”

In his opening remarks, Nail KURT, General Manager and CEO of FNSS, stressed the significance of the intricate work conducted at FNSS within the project's indigenous design and production processes. He highlighted the collaboration with nearly 500 solution partners, notably mentioning Nurol Makina, Aselsan, Roketsan, and SDT. KURT also emphasized the substantial accumulation of expertise derived from numerous domestic companies involved in designing and producing vehicle electronics, mechanical subsystems, and parts. He further highlighted the achievement of a sustainable supply management cycle by leveraging this expertise in other platforms designed by FNSS.

Under the STA Project, where FNSS oversees deliveries and post-delivery logistics support, the delivery of PARS 4x4 and KAPLAN STA vehicles, along with Kornet-E and OMTAS Gun Turrets, to the Turkish Land Forces Command is ongoing. Notably, the KAPLAN vehicles, integrating Roketsan's KMC-U turret system, stand out as Türkiye's national anti-tank system. Additionally, the post-delivery logistic support contract represents a groundbreaking advancement in this field.
