7th TAI Aviation and Avionics Systems Seminar Held in Ankara
The 7th Aviation and Avionic Systems Seminar sponsored by TAI and organized with the cooperation of Electronic Valley was held on 25-26 November 2014 at ODTÜ Culture and Congress Center. The Undersecretary for Defence Industries Prof. İsmail Demir and representatives of defence and aerospace industry attended the event where various panel discussions and workshops took place. Turkish Stars team was the special guest of the 7th annual TAI Aviation and Avionics Systems Seminar.
In his speech at the event that gathered the representatives of defence and aerospace industry, the Undersecretary for Defence Industries Prof. İsmail Demirregarding Turkey’s targets for the year 2023 said “Our goals are great and on our way to achieve these goals our major resources are our people and their energy”.
Prof. İsmail Demir likened the human resources in Turkey to a “mine” in his speech at the beginning of the event and added “If we could manage to process this resource correctly, we may lookto the future with hope. I evaluate these events as environments allowing such opportunities to this end”. Prof. Demir underlined that Turkey has goals for year 2023 and continued “We desire to become one of the leading 10 economies of the world in 2023. We have major targets. Our people and their energy are our greatest source of richness on our way towards this goal”.
Prof. Demir commented on the educational system in Turkey and said, “It is hard to claim that our educational system is strong. There is alot to criticize about the education system but despite all, our people’s energy and effort give me hope. My hopes are increasing”.
During the event where several workshops and panel discussions were held, issues namely the Integrated Vehicle Management System, Avionics Databus Solutions, Tactical Data Links at Avionics Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance and Recognition(ISR) Platform, Next Generation UAV mission scenarios and Avionics Systems Architectures, Advances in Lighter Than in Air Technologies, Flight Data Recording and Data Streaming, Autopilot Systems, Microwave Components and test benches for space and defence applications, latest technology Air Data System were comprehensively examined.
