The delivery of the Electronic Warfare Test and Training Range produced by Havelsan for the Republic of Korea’s Air Forces was accomplished in the ceremony at the Republic of Korea.

The contract for the project that was executed under the name Korea EWTTR (ROKAF EWTS) was signed in 2009 and was completed within the envisioned period of 36 months. With the project 101 million USD was provided to the domestic economy from exports.

The Korean Air Forces’ pilots will have the chance to train under conditions very close to real-threat environment with the help of the system developed by Havelsan. All the hardware structures used in trainings are integrated and their monitoring, recording, analysis and evaluation and pairing as a system in other words the simultaneous integration of actual and virtual structures were ensured. Within this context, testing of the pilot’s capability of being hit/survival could be analyzed in addition to the Counter-Measure (ECM) Efficiency Analysis. These two analyses could not be executed in actual atmospheres and now with the help of the project, the success of the pilots are expected to increase. Pilots will also improve their counter measure skills with the trainings for Jamming techniques, Chaff usage and maneuver tactics. Also efficiency analyses, engagement concepts and doctrines related to electronic warfare could be developed within the scope of the Air Defense Operator Trainings. Testing of the functioning and performance of the radar and electronic warfare systems could be carried out as well.

The Electronic Warfare Test and Training Range (EWTTR) exported to the Republic of Korea has been in Turkish Air Forces’ use for 13 years and a technological superiority was acquired with the help of the know-how and the experiences gained during those years.

Havelsan delivered the EWTTR to the Turkish Air Forces in 1999 and is still continuing the operation and maintenance of these systems. The system secures a real threat from ground environment for the combat aircrafts and is established in the Anatolian Eagle Training Center Command in Konya. EWTTR was produced domestically according to Turkish Armed Forces’ warfare testing and training needs and turned Havelsan into one of the pioneers in the global market in the areas related to training, test and analysis issues during within warfare.

Turkish Armed Forces effective usage of the EWTTR has been a significant reference to the Air Forces of the Republic of the Korea and therefore the Korea EWTTR was developed. A similar system is being designed for the Pakistani Air Forces by Havelsan.

Based on its researches on the defense market, Frost & Sullivan an independent global research company presented Havelsan with the "European Defense Competitive Strategy Leadership Award" for two years in a row in recognition of its accomplishments in the European Defense and Aviation sector. Havelsan was the only corporation to produce a The Electronic Warfare Test and Training Range solutions and to adapt each for 3 different countries Air Forces’ requirements.

Within the scope of the commercial cooperation between the two country, EWTTR is the second greatest export of Havelsan after the CN-235 Flight Simulator to the Republic of Korea.
