Aselsan has already conducted combat system integration activities on “Ada” class corvette known as national corvette program “MILGEM”, “Dost” class Coast Guard Search/Rescue Vessels, “Tuzla” class Patrol Boats and fast amphibious ships. Aselsan continues to work on other naval programs such as New Type Submarine Construction, Submarine Modernization, Submarine Rescue Mother Ship, Rescue and Towing Vessel, Seismic Research Vessel and getting ready for future programs of amphibious platforms, auxiliary ships and Turkish Frigate called as TF2000.

 

Integrated Communication Systems 

 

Aselsan providing integrated communication system solutions for naval surface, subsurface and airborne programs comprising both tactical communications, ship-shore to ship broadcast including maritime rear link networks, secure / non-secure voice and data transmissions among the naval platforms and shore stations. Naval communication system solutions include integration of the ship’s internal communication network such as telephone, public address, intercom, sound powered telephone, intranet, training and entertainment systems. Aselsan’s naval communication portfolio comprise satellite communication terminals for both surface and subsurface platforms, military radios covering all RF band with ECCM capability including indigenous state of the art software defined networking radios. System provides interconnection to external RF network including satellite communications.

 

Electro-Optical Systems 

 

Aselsan manufactures own design forward looking IR directors, thermal cameras, laser warning systems, laser range finders and IR search and tracking systems for naval applications including naval airborne platforms. Aselsan electro-optical systems for surface and airborne platforms provide target search and tracking capability within the visible to IR/UV wavelength spectrum performing mission with high redundancy and user flexibility features. Electro-optical system solutions combine thermal cameras, laser range finders, daylight & low level light TV’s, night vision devices and laser warning systems providing track data and video distribution with high accuracy, data rate/format for any naval C4ISR system or fire control system requirement. 

 

Electronic Warfare & Radar Systems 

 

Aselsan manufactures own design ESM & ECM systems and state of the art Low Probability of Intercept (LPI) radar (ALPER) for both surface and subsurface naval platforms as well as coastal surveillance radar (SERDAR). Electronic warfare & radar systems can be used both as standalone systems and as subsystem(s) of any integrated system solution, which are interoperable with C4ISR systems providing high efficiency and user flexibility features. Aselsan is now developing the multipurpose phase array radar for TF-2000 frigate program.

Naval Weapon Systems

Aselsan stabilized platform solutions for guns from 12.7 to 40 mm, and launchers for anti submarine warfare rockets and various guided missiles provide fast reaction and accurate positioning of relevant weapons to engage surface, subsurface or air targets. Naval weapon systems constitute stand alone defence capabilities as well as integrated and interoperable with C4ISR systems, providing high efficiency and reliability.

Aselsan gun fire control system solutions for naval guns from 12,7 mm upto 76 mm for surface and air target engagements, already installed onto naval platforms providing much higher single hit probability performance that is proved during field firings.

 

 

 

 

Navigation Systems 

 

Aselsan Marine Inertial Navigation System includes proven fiber optic gyroscope (FOG) technology, embedded GPS receiver, Universal Interface Unit that is compliant with old and new type ship platform interfaces and Navigation Control and Display Unit. The system is an integrated, extremely reliable, tightly coupled, embedded INS/GPS/Log Speed navigation system that provides superior position, velocity and attitude performance, quick response time and high anti-jam performance for surface naval platforms. The Aselsan Marine Inertial Navigation System supports a broad spectrum of surface marine platforms with maximum flexibility, designed to serve as the ship’s main/backup navigation unit, gyrocompass and stabilization data provider simultaneously.

 

Underwater Warfare & Sonar Systems 

 

Importance of having indigenous systems on critical defence issues such as torpedo defence, Aselsan has developed state of art torpedo counter measure system (TCMS) for surface platforms and submarines. Surface TCMS called HIZIR system provides long range threat detection by towed triplet hydrophone array including ship borne accessories such as winch, control panel and signal processor, instantaneous decision support by reaction algorithms and effective countermeasure by towed acoustic jammers and expendable acoustic Jammers & false target emulators launched through pneumatic launchers. 

The state of art ZOKA® decoy family has developed for submarines providing launching capability both through the outboard launchers as well as inboard signal ejectors of the submarines. ZOKA® decoys are used together with decision support system and outboard launchers on the submarines forming ZARGANA® system, providing an extensive defence capability against multiple modern torpedo attacks.

Aselsan has gained the capability to design and produce acoustics & sonar systems to fulfill customer requirement for any specific mission and the platforms. Aselsan single beam echosounders already installed into submarines and various acoustics system are under development.
