ASELSAN is Growing in KAZAKHSTAN
An agreement was made between Kazakhstan Engineering (KE) Company and ASELSAN in order to widen the scope of the strategic alliance in Kazakhstan. The agreement was signed by the Kazakhstan Engineering Chairman Bolat SMAGULOV and ASELSAN CEO Cengiz ERGENEMAN in witness of Kerim MASSİMOV, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey.
The modernization of armored vehicle fire control systems and avionics systems for helicopters, as well as producing communication devices and systems are planned to be realized within the scope of the agreement signed in Kazakhstan-Turkey Business Forum.
With the first agreement made in 2010, it was agreed to jointly produce Air Defence Systems, Stabilized Advanced Remote Platforms and Thermal Sighting Systems of ASELSAN in the plants of Kazakhstan Engineering and to integrate such into armored vehicles.
Being the current solution partner of Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) in the field of communication, ASELSAN concluded the modernization studies of fire control systems of Leopard 1 and Leopard 2 tanks. ASELSAN also concluded the avionic modernization studies of 11 different helicopters taking part in the inventory of TSK. With the agreement, in addition to the military needs of Kazakhstan, it is aimed to make production also for the needs of the countries in the region.
KAZAKH Helicopters to Fly with ASELSAN
In KADEX,Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering (KAE) and Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering signed a cooperation agreement on integration of avionics equipment and systems produced by KAE in EC-145 helicopters produced by Eurocopter Kazakhstan Engineering.
Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering (KAE) was established in 2011 and 50% of the capital belongs to Kazakhstan Engineering, 49% belongs to ASELSAN and 1% belongs to Republic of Turkey Ministry of National Defence Undersecretariat for Defence Industries. KAE will perform activities on the production of electro optical and electronics devices and systems as well as the integration of such systems in every platform for meeting the needs of Kazakhstan military and civil institutions as well as the countries in the region.
