ASELSAN Middle East Company Commenced Operations
ASELSAN Midddle East Company has been established as a result of the cooperation made between King Abdullah II Design & Development Bureau Investment Group (KIG) and ASELSAN in order to produce night vision systems and thermal imaging systems for Jordan and Middle East markets.
The new ASELSAN Middle East Company, named as "ASELSAN Middle East PSC LTD" was established with 51% of the shares belonging to KADDB Investment Group while the rest 49% to ASELSAN and the opening capital of the company was 2 million Jordanian dinars.
Company’s facility, where the activities are planned to be performed, will be located at KADDB Industrial Park in Jordan. At the first stage, Monocular Night Vision Equipment and Night Vision Weapon Sights are planned to be produced. Besides, it is also aimed to produce various products/systems such as thermal imaging and day television systems for armored vehicles produced by ASELSAN. It is also reported that the cooperation agreement between ASELSAN Middle East and KIG for the procurement of SAGER Thermal Imaging System specially designed for Kornet E Antitank Guided Missile Systemis the first oncoming agreement of ASELSAN Middle East.
ASELSAN Middle East is expected to become one of the effectual companies to perform in electro-optic field in the Middle East and North Africa markets in a short time.
Being a global company, ASELSAN has joint ventures in Jordan and Kazakhstan, a joint venture in United Arab Emirates named IGG ASELSAN, ASELSAN Baku Company performing in Azerbaijan and an office in South Africa.
