GERGEDAN Portable RCIED Jammer System, KiRPi Manpack RCIED Jammer System and SAPAN Programmable Active/Reactive RCIED Jammer System are members of Aselsan’s Software Defined RCIED Jammer Systems Product Family. The programmability features of these systems provide the customer with utmost customization flexibility to specific operational and tactical requirements. User defined “jamming profile” includes setting of numerous jammed frequency bands and output power levels for simultaneous jamming of multiple threats.
Aselsan’s Software Defined RCIED Jammer Systems’ programmability features are:
User Defined and User Programmable, Flexible “Jamming Profile” Concept:
Definition of Jammed Frequency Bands
Definition of Friendly Communication Channels/Bands
Definition of Output Power Levels
Jamming Profile Upload via Ethernet Interface
No Need to Explain the Threats and Classified Scenarios to the Vendor
Programming Software Runs on an External Standard Laptop
Numerous Pre-Defined Jamming Profiles Installation Option on the Remote Control Unit
KiRPi - Software Defined Manpack RCIED Jammer is designed to provide the patrols and VIP vehicles, EOD Teams with a protection umbrella against the risk of running into Radio Frequency (RF) Controlled Improvised Explosive Devices (RCIED) on the battlefield.
GERGEDAN Portable RCIED Jammer System is designed to protect convoys, VIP vehicles in motion and static infrastructure (e.g. high value assets, checkpoints, etc.) against RCIED threat. GERGEDAN is portable and vehicle-independent. It can be conveniently installed on any type of vehicle (e.g. SUV sized vehicles, military trucks, etc.) and easily transferred from a vehicle to another. It is also light in weight and can be powered by either vehicle alternator or rechargeable Li-Ion batteries.
SAPAN Programmable Active/Reactive RCIED Jammer is used for convoy protection purposes. Utilizing the Reactive Jamming Technology, SAPAN Programmable Active/Reactive RCIED Jammer has the ability to quickly survey the whole frequency spectrum, acquire active signals via ultrafast wideband tuners and react immediately on them by DDS-based, FPGA-controlled exciters. Hardware and the software algorithms are developed in such a way that any inevitable delay and all processing periods are minimized/optimized to ensure an extremely fast reaction.
The effectiveness range for SAPAN Programmable Active/Reactive RCIED Jammer is much greater than any active jammer with the same output power. To achieve an equivalent effectiveness range of SAPAN, an active jammer has to radiate almost 1000 times more RF power.
One of Aselsan’s latest products is CHAMELEON Tactical Signal Emulator System. CHAMELEON radiates signals in radio frequency (RF) communication band by programming the parameters such as channel spacing, modulation type, tone/code, RF output power level. By the utilization of these capabilities, CHAMELEON is capable of  emulating most of civilian/military type radios.
CHAMELEON can be used as an arbitrary waveform generator or programmable noise generator. It has the ability to generate both Electronic Warfare (EW) waveforms and civilian communication waveforms with a single waveform generator.
Optionally it can be used for C-IED Applications such as route clearance (The ability to cause RCIEDs to trigger at the time and place of the warfighter’s choosing).
