Aselsan Teams up with Gazi University for R&D Projects

Joint research projects will be realized with the participation of the Gazi University’s faculty members of Engineering, Technology and Science Departments and Aselsan Project Teams.
 The Protocol on R&D Cooperation between Gazi University and Aselsan was signed by Vice Rector Prof. Mehmet Türker and Dean of the Engineering Faculty Prof. Metin U. Salamcı on behalf of Gazi University and by Vice General Manager Mr. Mustafa Kaval and Program Director of Air Defense Missile Systems Mr.Serhan Çiçek on behalf of Aselsan. 
In his remark at the signing ceremony, Gazi University’s Vice Rector Prof. Mehmet Türker said, “Aselsan is a company which we are happy to collaborate with. Prof. Süleyman Özçelik from Photonics Research Center has been conducting joint projects with Aselsan with the support of TÜBİTAK. As Gazi University, we will be the greatest supporter of the projects to be implemented with Aselsan within the framework of this signed protocol”.
Gazi University’s Dean of the Engineering Faculty Prof. Metin Salamcı said, “With the R&D Cooperation Protocol signed today with Aselsan, our cooperation with this company will not be limited with the Researcher Training Program for Defense Industry. We will be conducting strategic partnerships in joint research projects with the participation of our faculty members from Engineering, Technology and Science Faculties and Aselsan’s qualified engineering team”.
Aselsan’s Vice General Manager and President of Defense System Technologies Sector Mr. Mustafa Kaval added, “Today, with this protocol we signed, it will be a great example of the cooperation between the industry and universities we are planning to increase the cooperation on R&D between these two institutions. The concrete project studies carried out by Aselsan and Gazi University Engineering Faculty will be one of the best outputs of this protocol”.
