Meeting the portable energy needs of the military and commercial sectors by manufacturing more than 300 batteries, around 30 aircraft batteries, marine systems batteries, and rail system batteries, ASPILSAN Energy is the first and only company in Turkey to produce Nickel Cadmium aircraft batteries. The company also closely follows the dynamic needs of the energy era and continues the necessary R&D studies to produce electric vehicle batteries. It is believed that ASPILSAN Energy will become the most important supplier of our country when it starts producing battery cells for electric cars.
Looking for solutions to reduce Turkey's dependence on foreign energy systems, ASPILSAN Energy goes beyond the times by opening a new page in its history with its Li-Ion battery cell production investment, which is a first for our country and Europe. With the Li-Ion battery cell production facility, which will be established on approximately 25,000 m2, it is expected to produce 21 million battery cells annually with domestic and national capabilities. By closely following the developments in the world in battery technologies, the company aims to increase the locality rate of battery cells, which will initially be at least 51%, with the developing ecosystem.
With this historic investment, the company also adopts exemplary environmental policies to offer a more livable world while supporting the local ecosystem. Domestic lithium with a purity of 99.5 percent obtained from liquid boron wastes has successfully passed the tests conducted by ASPILSAN Energy, one of the largest battery manufacturers in Turkey.
