“AY” Class” Submarine System/Equipment Renewal

STM is successfully playing the role within the scope of ensuring that the relevant industrial potential of Turkey is used realistically and intensively in the modernization programs, supporting the development of the industry in terms of adapting new technologies to military applications, and transferring the knowledge and experience of the Turkish Naval Forces to private sector industrialists; and with its young and skilled engineering team and its staff experienced in combat surface ships and submarines, STM is greatly honoured and proud to serve Turkish Naval Forces on platform basis. “AY” Class” Submarine System/Equipment Renewal Project, is one of the examples of the said role it has undertaken.

In cooperation with leader system providers in their own field, STM can conduct the  modernization activities of Type 209 Submarines undertaking the design engineering, procurement, installation, integration, test and delivery as well as ILS activities.

The Project is carried out with the support of the manpower, knowledge and experience of the Naval Forces Command and its Gölcük Shipyard, which has been building 209 Class Submarines for over 35 years and has outstanding experience in this field. Under the scope of Project, which is planned to be completed within approximately 4 years.
