Boeing Awards KALE Aerospace Contracts for 777-300,777X Krueger Flaps

ISTANBUL, Oct. 7, 2016 – Boeing [NYSE: BA] announced new contracts for KALE Aerospace today, further developing Boeing’s commercial airplanes supply chain in Turkey. 
Boeing awarded KALE Aerospace contracts to build Krueger flaps for the 777-300 and the 777X, which will be the world’s largest and most efficient twin-engine commercial airplane. 
KALE Aerospace currently manufactures rib posts for the Boeing 747-8 and has been awarded contracts to manufacture paddle fittings, rib posts and spar stiffeners for the 737-9 MAX.
“Boeing has a long-standing relationship with KALE Aerospace. The company has participated in all Boeing commercial airplane programs since 1997,” said Aysem Sargin, managing director of Turkey for Boeing International. “These new contracts demonstrate our continuing confidence in KALE Aero’s ability to meet our requirements for quality, coats, reliability and affordability, as well as our commitment to expand aerospace manufacturing in Turkey.”
