Havelsan Acquired US-Based Quantum3D
Havelsan, Turkey’s source of national pride in software and system integration areas, acquired Quantum3D Company that produces image generators used in simulators and training systems for both military and civilian purposes. At the end of the acquisition process, Havelsan will own all the product groups and intellectual property rights of Quantum3D and launch offices in San Jose and Orlando. Following the accomplishment of the acquisition, US – origin Quantum3D Company will continue to operate with its currently employed, experienced staff under its own brand name.
Mantis – software that was awarded in real time visual simulator field, Independence IDX Image Generators and GeoScapeSE worldwide visual database are amongst the most remarkable products of Quantum3D Company.
Commenting on the acquisition process, Havelsan General Manager Sadık Yamaç said, “As Havelsan, our activities in simulation and training have a potential for growth that bear great importance. The products of Quantum3D are famous for their accuracy and high performance. In this respect, we believe that we will create new opportunities through combining our strategies with Quantum3D products and transform Mantis into the most innovative solution existing in the market” and added, “With the help of the capabilities we will be acquiring from Quantum3D, we will not only strengthen our basic capabilities but also introduce complete training solutions to the American market”.
