One of the leading technology houses of the Turkish defence industry, HAVELSAN, signed several new agreements during IDEF '21 to expand collaborations. Owing to these agreements, HAVELSAN took the first steps towards new technologies and markets to strengthen its presence in the existing markets.
In a move to expand its cooperation with prominent companies of the Turkish defence industry through a series of MoU's (Memorandum of Understanding]), HAVELSAN is aiming to establish itself as the dedicated subsystem supplier in certain high technology fields for the leading platform manufacturers such as Otokar, Nurol Makina, Katmerciler, and Tümosan.
The projects within the scope of the MoU's are:
The integration of the DOOB/HARBIYE-Tactical Command and Control
Information System on intelligence, reconnaissance, and surveillance systems,
The integration of HAVELSAN CBRN [Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear] systems for protection against CBRN threats and hazards.
The use of the KASK system on platforms for the generation of seamless location data and mission performance despite jammers,
Furthermore, HAVELSAN is willing to develop a series of software for intelligent reconnaissance, patrol security, port/military base security, minesweeping, submarine detection, and surface/underwater warfare missions for Unmanned Surface Vessels developed by the Yonca Onuk Shipyard. HAVELSAN is preparing to integrate the Unmanned Surface Vehicle into the ADVENT Combat Management System (CMS) to be equipped with the capability to operate with surface/ground command control stations and execute network-enabled joint missions. HAVELSAN also signed many new agreements during IDEF '21 to expand collaborations.
HAVELSAN and BARZAN MAINTENANCE also signed a cooperation agreement at IDEF'21. Under the contract, HAVELSAN will provide maintenance, repair, sustainment, and operation services for 36 months at the 90% activity ratio for the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF)
