HSW and MKEK have Signed LOI about 155mm Howitzer
Defence Turkey: First of all thank you very much for this interview. Could you please inform us about your capabilities and products of your companies?
Of course, welcome all people from Turkey at our stand, at HSW stand. We are the producer for Polish artillery and just now we develop new products of our heavy artillery infrastructure so we are producer of artillery and light armored vehicles.
Defence Turkey: Also we knew that Turkish delegation and your company had some talks on 120mm turret systems for a self-propelled mortar. Could please inform us about your cooperation with Turkey now?
Just now we start to talk about joint projects, how we can promote our system, our completely automatic and fully autonomous system, turret system 120mm not only for Turkey or Poland but also for other countries. This project is I believe a joint project for the future not only for today.
Defence Turkey: You are talking with the Turkish officers but also with the Turkish companies as well?
Yes, we discussed about that project with two Turkish companies, one is Otokar and the second is MKEK. We would like to establish joint cooperation not only about that project but about different projects which we connect not only for international market but Polish and Turkey markets also.
Defence Turkey: So what will be the other mutual areas then?
We should define where we can start. Definitely the target for us for Turkish companies and HSW is about Kazakhstan for example and also about Malaysia. As far as I know Malaysia cooperates closely with Turkish companies. They will buy light armored vehicles from Turkey. So we would like to connect our solution, our know-how with Turkish company also for the offer to Malaysia.
Defence Turkey: And by the way will there be any investment and joint production in the coming future?
Yes this is our background for today. We signed letter of intent with MKEK about chassis for our Howitzer from 15 Howitzer with 155mm from Turkey. So this will be very good background and very good start about how we can cooperate together on not only on Polish market but international markets also.
