NUROL MAKİNA: 20 Units Riot Control Vehicles

Considering the requirement of Security Forces for intervention of increasing riots, Nurol Makina ve Sanayi A.Ş manufactured the first Riot Control Vehicle of Turkey in 2001 by using it’s design capability and technological capacity.

As it is known, Nurol Makina ve Sanayi A.Ş has been manufacturing 4x4 and 6x6 Wheeled Armoured Vehicles, 25 mm Dragar Turret, Gunner’s Cupola, NBC System, subsystems of Tracked/Wheeled Armoured Vehicles such as armour sets etc., for many years. In addition to these products, Nurol Makina is going on manufacturing Riot Control Vehicles both for Turkey and abroad. Negotiations for new contracts are going on with Turkish General Command of Gendarmerie, Turkish General Directorate of Security and several Middle East, African and Commenwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries.

Lastly, Nurol Makina ve Sanayi A.Ş submitted proposal to the tender of Turkish General Directorate of Security for 20 units Riot Control Vehicles. Nurol Makina is awarded, signed the contract and started production.

4 units Riot Control Vehicles were delivered so far and the production of others are going on.

Compared to the ordinary Wheeled Vehicles used by police and gendarmerie troops in various countries which enable the demonstraters to burn with fire bombs, to climb and break the monitoring and water spraying equipments easily, Riot Control Vehicle manufactured by Nurol Makina ve Sanayi A.Ş, has a leading role in intervention riot controls thanks to its civil appearance, special hull design preventing the demonstraters from climbing to the vehicle, self extinguishing system against fire bombs, composite ballistic protection, run flat system (driving capability with flat tire), gas spraying system for close targets, gas spraying system for efficient intervention of mass riots, positive pressure gas filter system enabling the crew to go on operation without gas mask, recording system with front and rear camera.

Nurol Makina ve Sanayi A.Ş is able to design and manufacture Riot Control Vehicles in different chassis and water tank capacities according to the customer request. Taking into account all technical characteristics, Riot Control Vehicles production line includes small, medium, and large types in appoximately 15 different configuration.

In addition to the design and manufacturing capability, Nurol Makina ve Sanayi A.Ş provides Maintenance, Repair, Spare Part service and gives Practical Training upon delivery for both local and international sales.
