Prominent Cooperation between TAI and Meteksan Defence

A Letter of Intention regarding Test Activities of the Development of a Milimetric Wave Radar for Air Platforms Project was signed between TAI and Meteksan Defence at the International Defence Fair, IDEF.  Within the scope of the Development of a Milimetric Wave Radar for Air Platforms Project, fire control and land profile composition for helicopter platforms, fire control for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), radar technologies with SAR features and OKİS system for automatic landing and taking-off of the UAV platforms shall be designed and developed by Meteksan Defence with national resources and means. 

Meteksan Defence and TAI will conduct a joint study and cooperate on analysis and test activities within the scope of the R&D project aimed for the aerial platforms. The milimetric wave fire control radar technology that could increase the shooting and survivability power of the attack helicopters significantly is aimed with the studies within the scope of the project and this will be demonstrated on the developed prototype.  

Moreover, the radar system featuring fire control and SAR display that could be used in the combatant UAVs and the automatic landing and taking-off technology for the national unmanned aerial vehicle platforms are aimed to be accomplished within the project’s framework.
