Roketsan and Thales UK Signed a MoU for Air Defence Systems

Roketsan and Thales UK signed a Memorandum of Understanding at DSEI 2015 Exhibition taking place in London, England covering future collaboration on Air Defence Systems.

The MoU was signed by Thales UK representatives and Chairman of the Board of Roketsan, the Lieutenant General (ret) Mehmet Emin Alpman. 

Within the scope of the MoU the system to be used on the “Hisar-O” Medium and Low Altitude Air Defence Missiles will be used for avoiding the threats efficiently. The Laser Proximity Sensor will be used on Roketsan’s “Hisar” type missile and will be sold in international markets along with Thales UK. Establisment of a sensor production line for Roketsan is planned as part of the agreement.
