Sikorsky’s 2012 Global Supplier Award to TAI

TAI has been elected by Sikorsky Aircraft for her aero-structure production and evaluated as the Gold Supplier. TAI, among the main manufacturers of hulls of H-60 Blackhawk and Seahawk helicopters that are produced by Sikorsky and used by many armies of the World, received the “Gold” award as the supplier of the year.

In his speech, Mr. Samir Mehta, President of Sikorsky Military Systems, said “We celebrate TAI for winning this prestigious award. Receiving the Supplier of the Year award in the World means that as one of the main manufacturers of Sikorsky, a company is putting forth a performance based on quality, efficiency and excellence. We are hoping to sustain our ongoing cooperation and relations in the future”.

Gold Supplier Assessment Program was established in order to enable Sikorsky to share the training, equipment, processes and criteria with its manufacturers. The Gold award for the supplier of the year is granted to the suppliers showing their commitment to the Gold Supplier Assessment Program with their notable performances.

TAI manufactured a total of 40 million USD worth helicopter parts for Sikorsky and continues to manufacture tail cones, rotor pylons and tail wings for Sikorsky’s H-60 helicopters including the international S-70i Blackhawk model.
