STM Celebrates Its 30th Anniversary

Established in 1991 with the decision of the Defense Industry Executive Committee, STM provides significant contributions to Turkey's Defense Industry and National Technology Movement under the leadership of the Presidency of Defense Industries. Since its establishment, it has been carrying out engineering, technology, and consultancy activities with its highly qualified workforce and delivers products and solutions for more than 30 in a wide range of fields from military naval platforms to autonomous systems, from cybersecurity to satellite and space technologies.

Since 2018, STM represents our country by taking part in the Defense News Top 100 list, where the world's most prestigious defense industry companies are listed. Achieving significant success, especially in military naval platforms, STM carries out cooperation, export, and business development activities in more than 20 countries from South America to Far East Asia to carry its export success in this field to autonomous systems and cybersecurity as well.

STM is the main sub-contractor of the MİLGEM Project, the first ship of the MİLGEM I-Class Frigate, TCG Istanbul (F-515), and Turkey's first intelligence ship TCG Ufuk (A-591). STM also takes part in critical tasks in submarine modernization and construction projects. STM is also the main contractor of the "Kerkes Project," which will allow UAV platforms to operate independently of GPS. STM also established Turkey's first Cyber Fusion Center.
