TAI, TURKISH AIRLINES AND TURKISH TECHNIC ESTABLISH A JOINT VENTURE COMPANY
Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc (TAI), Turkish Airlines and Turkish Technic Inc. are establishing a Joint Enterprise Company to carry out the manufacturing of products and components for aircraft cabin interiors as well as the related logistic, support, modification, and marketing activities.
TAI, Turkish Airlines and Turkish Technic will design and manufacture aircraft
components under the same roof.
The Joint Enterprise Company, which will be created under the name “Türk Kabin İçi Sistemleri Sanayi A.Ş.” (Turkish Cabin Interior Systems Industries Inc.), will carry out the design of products and components for aircraft cabin interiors as well as their manufacturing, logistical support, modification, and marketing.
The Joint Venture Company will manufacture Galley (aircraft kitchen), Crew Rest (staff rest room), Magazine Racks, Literature Pocket (newspaper and printed paper box), Divider & Wind Screen (cabin interior divider systems and wind screeens), Doghouse & Bustle (cupboards for various equipment, emergency equipment), Stowage (small cupboard for general use), Coatroom (wardrobe), Video Control Compartment (monitoring system room) and Stairhouse (entrance to rest room) and similar cabin interior products. The manufacturing company aims to acquire share from the market worldwide.
Hamdi Topçu, Chairman of the boards of Turkish Airlines and Turkish Technic, said, “We and TAI are uniting our technical and market experience under the same roof in order to be a part of the premier league of the production of cabin interior products. In addition, with this aggressive overture, we want to prove that we can produce high-quality aircraft cabin interior products under a brand that is 100 percent Turkish. We claim that Turkey will be a maintenance, repair and also manufacturing hub that should be taken seriously via this structuring in the near future.”
