TEMSA, the Bus Market Leader, Continues to Grow Targets with STM
STM and TEMSA will develop new technologies for smart vehicles under a cooperation protocol signed at Sabancı Holding HQ on September 5, 2016 with the participation of Mr. Dinçer Çelik, Director General of TEMSA, and Mr. Davut Yılmaz, Director General of STM. The two companies will cooperate on the topics of “Smart Vehicle Technologies, Big Data Analytics, Industry 4.0, Internet of Things (IoT) and Cyber Security.”
Giant Cooperation from 2 Leading Enterprises, TEMSA and STM
During the signing ceremony, Mr. Dinçer Çelik, Director General of TEMSA, stating that the two leading domestic enterprises collaborated toward utilizing their engineering experience in smart vehicle technologies, continued by saying “Within the limits of cooperation, it is planned to enhance the efficacy of value and solutions aimed by the Smart Mobility concept being developed by TEMSA. Although producing buses in the bus market it leads, TEMSA keeps its vision of staying on the course of becoming an innovative and entrepreneur technology enterprise, producing smart transportation solutions and creating a difference and values. In line with such a vision, this cooperation with STM will make a great contribution to the development of Smart Mobility programs including such titles as smart vehicles, electric vehicles, and SMART 2020-smart factories.”
Contribution to Digital Transformation of Transportation in Cities
Mr. Davut Yılmaz, Director General of STM, said during the ceremony “Under the cooperation with TEMSA, the products to be developed as part of ‘TEMSA Smart Mobility Programs” will synchronize urban transportation in the speed of digital transformation. ”Mr. Yılmaz finished by saying “Overa (Optimization Data Analytics Platform), the first and only big data analytics platform in Turkey, which is uniquely designed by STM engineers and capable of running independently in various sectors besides transportation, will be utilized in developing smart technologies for electric and smart vehicles being produced by TEMSA.”
TEMSA and STM Jointly to Develop Technology
By means of cooperation, it will be assured that Smart Mobility programs conducted by TEMSA will be technologically developed particularly in the activities of production, maintenance, logistics, marketing, information technology, and innovation while prioritizing customer satisfaction and safety in operations. For any necessities to arise concordantly, STM and TEMSA will develop solutions by means of advance data analytics, data science, optimization techniques and various software utilizing big data algorithms. In this process, cyber security of the data to be acquired from TEMSA smart vehicles will be provided by the customised cyber security solutions developed by STM.
Vehicles are now Smarter
TEMSA and STM will cooperate on the topics of “Smart Vehicles, Big Data Analytics, Industry 4.0, Internet of Things (IoT), and Cyber Security.” In this context, logical and predictable analyses of the data gathered from the sensors from TEMSA vehicles sent all around the world from the TEMSA factory will be conducted by STM and TEMSA engineers by means of applications of big data analytics and the methods of data science.
Joint Competences will be presented to the World Market as Commercial Products
The aim is to offer smart transportation solutions to be developed by studying and interpreting all such data collected under the TEMSA and STM cooperation utilizing advance big data analytics, artificial intelligence and optimizations techniques, to the world market as commercial products.
