Ukrainian Navy's second Turkish-built ADA-class corvette, Hetman Ivan Vyhovskyi (F-212), has been launched with a ceremony held in Istanbul, Türkiye.

The launching ceremony was graced by the presence of several dignitaries, including the Commander of the Naval Forces Oleksiy Neizhpapa, Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defense Major General (ret.) Volodymyr Havrylov, CEO of Baykar Haluk Bayraktar, Commissioner for the Affairs of the Crimean Tatar People Mustafa Dzhemilev, and Ukraine’s First Lady Olena Zelenska.

The MİLGEM Project, led by STM as the main contractor and covering the delivery of a total of four MİLGEM ADA-class corvettes, was signed between Türkiye and Ukraine in December 2020. The first ADA-class corvette, "Hetman Ivan Mazepa," expected to be the flagship of the Ukrainian Navy, was launched in October 2022.

The agreement signed between Türkiye and Ukraine planned for the joint production of the MİLGEM corvettes. The first of the four corvettes were to be built in Türkiye; the remaining three corvettes were to be constructed at the PJSC Nikolaev Shipyard Ocean in the city of Mykolaiv, Ukraine. However, due to the war, the issue of construction and equipment locations remains uncertain.
