Within the scope of the agreement, the design, manufacture, integration and certification of two-prototype medium–weight tanks and manufacturing of one body tank to be used in mine tests are planned. The intellectual and industrial property rights will belong to both Turkey and Indonesia.
Under the Programme, the surveillance activities will be performed by an executive committee composed of the representatives from the Undersecretariat for Defence Industries and Indonesian Ministry of National Defence.
In addition to the aforementioned points, technology transfer on the design of a medium–weight tank and on-the–job–training for prototype manufacturing are intended to be provided to Indonesian company PT Pindad by FNSS Defence Systems.
The first prototype will be produced in Turkey with the participation of the engineers of PT Pindad and the second prototype will be manufactured in Indonesia by PT Pindad. The programme is expected to be completed within 37 months.
