Turkey’s First Licensed Civil Woman Helicopter Pilot Completes her Training

Turkey’s youngest civil woman acrobatic pilot Semin Öztürk (24) completed the PPL (H) Special Helicopter Pilot Training Course at the TAI Flight Academy and won the title of Turkey’s first civil woman helicopter pilot.

 Her certificate of graduation was presented by TAI President & CEO Muharrem Dörtkaşlı to Semin Öztürk after the flight training given by TAI Flight Academy trainers between 04 April 2016 and 03 June 2016 and following the control flight performed in company with General Directorate of Civil Aviation Control Pilot Ufuk Çelikten. 

Semin Öztürk’s father, Turkey’s most experienced and first professional civil acrobatic pilot and worldwide acrobatic society’s recognized name Ali İsmet Öztürk attended the ceremony held at the TAI facilities.

 TAI Flight Academy’s 101st trainee Semin Öztürk blazed a trail with the certificate granted by TAI and became the first licensed civil woman helicopter pilot of Turkey.
