HAVELSAN, a Turkish Armed Forces Foundation company, today has reached to a 208 million YTL sales, 750 million USD business volumes, 49.2 million USD export as end of 2008.

By being well aware of the globalization, change in technology, requirements and business models; HAVELSAN defined its strategy to design future systems and to cooperate with regional and global partners. In line with its strategy HAVELSAN partnered with international defense companies. In Turkey, partnerships established and extended to sector companies and SMEs. The scope of the cooperation covers to utilize and implement HAVELSAN capabilities, solutions and products in command control information systems, unmanned ground platforms, combat management systems and to cooperate in underwater sensor and weapon systems; and satellite systems. Additionally, to cooperate in EW simulation systems, and to develop and market Finmeccanica air platform simulators with Finmeccanica and its companies through projects and R&D studies. The co-operation will be signed during IDEF-09 International Defense Exhibition, 27-30 April 2009 in ISTANBUL. This cooperation will cover Turkish General Purpose Helicopter program.

In the last 10 years HAVELSAN has extended its worldwide presence from USA, Canada to Europe, Turkic Countries, Gulf Region, Pakistan and Republic of Korea with its state art of technologies and successful business models. .

HAVELSAN as main local subcontractor of BOEING Company develops Mission Computer software, Ground Segment, Mission Support and Software Support and Mission Simulator subsystems of Turkish Airborne Early Warning and Control Aircraft (AEWC). As a result of successful cooperation with BOEING and with its engineering level and maturity of the processes HAVELSAN became Preferred Supplier of BOEING as well. HAVELSAN has a similar success business record as subcontractor of THALES in Turkish Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) program. HAVELSAN has developed Tactical Command System, Tactical Command and Control Information System, Simulation and Training System, Operator Trainer System, Ground Support Segment and ILS in the program.

HAVELSAN signed a new contract with Republic of Korea Defense Procurement Agency DAPA for Electronic Warfare Training System for the requirements of Republic of Korea Air Force. This cooperation will strengthen the bond and the business relation of the countries as well. HAVELSAN had developed a CN-235 FAA Level D Full Mission Simulator for ROKAF.
On the navy platforms HAVELSAN strengthened its expertise and knowledge in combat management systems technologies, system development, and system integration. With this engineering capital, HAVELSAN modernized G Class Frigates successfully (USN Oliver Hazard Perry Class Frigates). Signed an agreement with RAYTHEON to cooperate for the extend its capabilities and services to similar Oliver Hazard Perry Class Frigates in the world.

In 2009 HAVELSAN will continue to develop reliable and original systems to meet the needs of existing and potential customers by keeping abreast of domestic and international developments and by strengthening its relations with its stakeholders.
